4-Day Morocco Tour from Fes | Sahara & Atlas Highlights

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Todra Gorge

Your round-trip desert adventure from Fes begins with a warm pick-up from your accommodation or the airport, before we head south toward new and exciting landscapes.

Our first stop is the charming town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its Alpine-style architecture and refreshing mountain climate.

We then continue to the cedar forests of Azrou, home to the famous Barbary macaques, playful and friendly monkeys native to this region.

After lunch, we enjoy a scenic drive through the Middle Atlas, taking in fresh mountain air and beautiful panoramas. 

By late afternoon, we arrive at the majestic Todra Gorges, where you’ll settle into your accommodation for a peaceful night surrounded by dramatic cliffs and nature.

Day 2: Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara

After breakfast, we take time to explore the Todra Gorges, a magnificent canyon where towering cliffs rise dramatically on both sides. You can enjoy a peaceful walk along the riverbed and fully appreciate the beauty of this natural wonder.

Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

We then continue our journey to Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, known for its fossil workshops and desert landscapes. By the afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, where your kasbah hotel welcomes you with comfort and charm.

Spend the rest of the day however you prefer; walk into the dunes to admire a stunning sunset, or simply relax by the pool and enjoy the calm desert atmosphere.

You will spend the night in a cozy and authentic kasbah.

Day 3: Explore Sahara – Khamlia – Nomads – Tisserdmine – Luxury Camp

It is highly recommended to wake up early and witness the magical sunrise over the Erg Chebbi

dunes, a truly breathtaking sight.

Return to your kasbah for breakfast. Then, explore the Merzouga region on an off-road excursion, following the iconic Paris-Dakar rally route.

Our first stop is Khamlia village, where you’ll experience the vibrant rhythms of Gnaoua music, a testament to the village’s sub-Saharan heritage. We’ll then explore an abandoned mine, a relic of the French colonial era, and visit nomadic families who still live in traditional tents. Share a cup of tea and learn about their unique lifestyle.

Afterward, we’ll journey to Tissardmine Oasis for a tranquil lunch in the middle of the desert’s charm.

Return to your Kasbah and prepare for an unforgettable camel trek to a luxury camp in the heart of the Sahara dunes. As the sun sets, you’ll arrive at your camp, enjoy a delicious dinner under a starlit sky, and spend the night in a comfortable nomadic tent.

Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

Wake up early to enjoy a magical sunrise over the dunes, a peaceful moment that truly captures the spirit of the Sahara. After breakfast at your camp, we begin our journey north toward Fes.

Our first stop is Erfoud, where you can visit fossil workshops and see how ancient stones are transformed into beautiful pieces of art. We then follow the scenic Ziz Valley, with its thousands of date palms and impressive canyon views.

We continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Berber villages and ever-changing landscapes. Along the way, you’ll enjoy free time for lunch in a local restaurant.

By late evening, we will arrive in Fes to safely drop you off at your accommodation, where you can relax and settle in after an unforgettable Sahara adventure.
