Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Midelt

Your 6-day guided tour from Fes to Marrakech begins with a warm morning pickup from your accommodation or the airport, as we head south on an exciting adventure.

Our first stop is the charming town of Ifrane, often called “Morocco’s Switzerland” due to its alpine architecture and refreshing mountain air.

From there, we venture into the ancient cedar forests near Azrou, a protected habitat for the endangered Barbary macaques. Here, we’ll observe these unique and playful Old World monkeys in their natural environment.

After a healthy lunch in the village of Zaida, our drive continues until we reach Midelt. A cozy hotel stay awaits here, offering a comfortable rest before our journey deepens into the desert tomorrow.

Day 2: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

After a healthy breakfast, we recommence our journey toward the silent Sahara, winding through the dramatic peaks of the Middle Atlas Mountains.

As the landscapes soften, we descend into the lush Ziz Valley, a breathtaking oasis where endless palm groves sway gently and ancient kasbahs line the riverbanks. This is an ideal place to pause, breathe, and photograph the surrounding beauty.

Following a delicious lunch, we arrive at the edge of the Sahara in Merzouga. The sight of the golden Erg Chebbi dunes welcomes you to a world of stillness and wonder. Upon checking into your kasbah hotel, you will have free time to relax by the pool, stroll across the soft sands, or simply watch the magnificent sunset paint the horizon.

Day 3: Explore Sahara – Nomads – Khamlia – Tisserdmine – Luxury Camp:

It is highly recommended to wake up early and witness the magical sunrise over the Erg Chebbi

dunes, a truly breathtaking sight.

Return to your kasbah for breakfast. Then, explore the Merzouga region on an off-road excursion, following the iconic Paris-Dakar rally route.

Our first stop is Khamlia village, where you’ll experience the vibrant rhythms of Gnaoua music, a testament to the village’s sub-Saharan heritage. We’ll then explore an abandoned mine, a relic of the French colonial era, and visit nomadic families who still live in traditional tents. Share a cup of tea and learn about their unique lifestyle.

Afterward, we’ll journey to Tissardmine Oasis for a tranquil lunch in the middle of the desert’s charm.

Return to your kasbah and prepare for an unforgettable camel trek to a luxury camp in the heart of the Sahara dunes. As the sun sets, you’ll arrive at your camp, enjoy a delicious dinner under a starlit sky, and spend the night in a comfortable nomadic tent.

Day 4: Merzouga – Tinjdad – Todra Gorges

After a flavorful desert breakfast at your camp, you will ride your camel (or take the 4×4 transfer) back to Merzouga to meet your driver.

We then rejoin the road, heading to Rissani, the historical starting point of the ancient caravan routes. Here, we will visit the Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum and explore the famous traditional market, where locals still gather to trade livestock, goods, sheeps, donkeys…

A brief stop in Erfoud allows us to see incredible fossils, expertly polished by local artisans. You will then enjoy free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

By the afternoon, our journey takes us to the truly impressive Todra Gorges with their towering, thousand-foot-high canyon walls. Take a gentle walk along the riverbed between the cliffs and breathe in the fresh, cool mountain air.

We will spend the night in a cozy hotel nearby, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and tranquility.

Day 5: Todra Gorges – Boumalne Dades – Ouarzazate

After breakfast at Todra Gorges, we continue our scenic drive through the Dades Valley, stopping to admire its winding roads and rock formations.

Next, we pass through Boumalne Dades, a quiet town surrounded by beautiful landscapes.
We visit the historic Amridil Kasbah in Skoura, a charming example of southern Moroccan architecture.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Then, we head to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” There, you’ll explore the famous Atlas Film Studios, where many international movies were filmed.

Enjoy a relaxed evening and overnight stay in Ouarzazate, with views of the surrounding desert hills.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech

After breakfast in Ouarzazate, we begin our drive toward Marrakech, passing through some of Morocco’s most stunning mountain scenery.

Our first stop is the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful kasbahs in Morocco. You’ll have time to walk through this old village, take photos, and learn about its history and the films made here.

We then continue our journey through the High Atlas Mountains, driving along the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and stop for photos at panoramic viewpoints along the way.

There will be time for lunch in a small Berber village, where you can try local dishes and relax.

As we approach Marrakech, the landscapes change from mountains to green valleys and small towns.

By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Marrakech, where we’ll ensure a smooth drop-off at your

accommodation or the airport.
